Custodial Worker-U

Under general supervision, perform duties to provide care, cleaning and maintenance of buildings, furniture, and fixtures. This is a 3rd shift position Sun-Thurs, 10p-6:30am.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety procedures for cleaning all rooms and common areas.
• Ability to communicate with managers, supervisors, coworkers and customers.
• Must have strong and positive interpersonal skills
• Clean and disinfects bathrooms.
• Replenish supplies.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles.
• Take trash to designated pickup area or incinerator.
• Clean walls, windows, doors, ceilings, shelves, ledges, mirrors, woodwork, vents, window frames and other surfaces.
• Sweep, mop, strip, wax, polish and renew floor surface and clean, vacuum, and shampoo rugs and carpets.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to count, read and write numbers; ability to read and understand warning signs; 3 months of experience or training in institutional or industrial cleaning is preferred.
• Some positions may require a current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds and be able to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending and stooping.
