The Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH, responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the facility. This position manages a maintenance team, assigns tasks, and ensures safe, efficient operation of production and packaging equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and minimizing downtime. The Maintenance Manager monitors maintenance budgets, maintains documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborates with operations and engineering to support continuous improvement.
The role also involves training team members, working with external vendors and service providers, and implementing best practices to extend equipment life and optimize facility performance.
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, scheduling, and performance oversight.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for production and packaging machinery.
- Candidates should possess experience in Preventive Maintenance, including planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance schedules.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance Management capabilities, such as work order planning, inventory control for spare parts, and budget tracking.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably in packaging or related industries.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, facility systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, pneumatics), and maintenance best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to make informed decisions under time constraints.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software or CMMS and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
