Grounds Laborer 1-U

Perform routine, grounds maintenance functions and/or general labor on all University of Cincinnati buildings and facilities. Essential functions include performing general grounds keeping and/or grounds maintenance worker functions, keeping university grounds clean, performing general labor, and performing general routine maintenance and/or minor repairs of grounds equipment. Required education is a high school diploma or GED. Required trainings/certifications include a valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

Required experience includes the ability to calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages, and the ability to read and write common vocabulary. Physical requirements include sitting, repetitive hand motion, hearing, talking, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, reaching overhead, pulling, pushing, shoveling, and lifting up to 20 pounds, 50 pounds, and over 50 pounds. Outdoor environment and hazards are also part of the job.
