Join Pilgrim Place, a welcoming senior living community in Claremont, where respect, teamwork, and stewardship guide all that we do. We’re seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment across our campus.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of facility buildings, including common areas, restrooms, and shared spaces.
• Clean and prepare guest rooms, including set-up and breakdown for events and resident use.
• Shampoo and disinfect floors and carpeted areas; strip, wax, and buff floors as needed.
• Sweep and clean exterior areas to support the overall appearance of the campus.
• Wash windows and screens; clean vents in resident rooms and hallways.
• Safely operate and maintain custodial equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and wet/dry vacuums.
• Support campus events through room setup, breakdown, and cleaning.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to appropriate staff.
• Build respectful, professional relationships with residents, coworkers, and visitors.
• Participate in safety initiatives and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• On-call position (no benefits).

• Experience in custodial or janitorial work, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals used in commercial environments.
• Experience with floor care, including cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and wet/dry vacuums.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and read signage in English.
• Reliable attendance and ability to report to work on time and complete assigned shifts.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
