Maintenance Assistant (Full Time)

Schedule:

Fri‑Tues, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

Hourly compensation: $17–19 DOE.

Location:

Claremont Hacienda (Generations Healthcare).

The primary role of the Maintenance Assistant is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as established policies and procedures. The Assistant follows supervisory direction to ensure a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

• Ensure maintenance schedules are followed for the respective shift or area.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff during routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Perform other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by supervisor, department director, and/or administrator.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and appearance of maintenance work areas.
• Work harmoniously with other personnel and adapt to residents’ varying maturity levels.
• Minimize waste of supplies and misuse of equipment.
• Seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.

Successful completion of a background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screening is required.
