The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for receiving donated goods and assisting customers picking up purchased items. The Warehouse Supervisor is an ambassador for Green Country Habitat for Humanity and often makes a first impression of the organization to donors and customers, therefore a positive attitude is necessary.

• Conduct themselves professionally. Has a clean and neat appearance, and positive attitude.
• Clearly explains to donors which items we accept. Is considerate to donors, especially those turned away due to type and condition of items.
• Follows policy and procedures regarding customer holds, asking for prices and verifying receipts.
• Ensures donors fill out the correct donor form and receive a copy. Forms are turned in to the General Manager at the end of each month.
• Ensures items being unloaded from or loaded onto vehicles are handled safely and securely.
• Ensures items received are separated and placed on the correct skid for processing.
• Assists with removing sold items off the sales floor and may help with set up of kitchen cabinets and other items.
• Monitors volunteers/community service workers and homeowners. Ensures they deal with the public professionally. Trains them in correct handling of items, filing out donor forms, items on correct skids for processing. Makes sure they have work to do, and if not, seeks out supervisor for other tasks. Goes over safety procedures with each worker.
• Keeps receiving areas clean.
• Follows instructions on marketing or customer relation activities.

  ReSale merchandise is fully stocked on the Sales Floor.

• Maintain a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with safety standards, rules, and regulations.
• Use tools available to maintain a safe environment.
• Educate yourself on hazards, safety practices and rules.
• Communicate about any unsafe practices and conditions.
• Always follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Report any injury, accident or near miss (no matter how small) to management.
• See something, say something.

• Drive a van or box truck.
• Load items at the work site in a safe and courteous fashion.
• Assist in unloading truck following dock guidelines.
• Operate powerlift equipment and various power tools.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule including Saturday and Sunday required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with safe driving record.
• Ability to relate to and communicate well with donors and volunteers.

• High School or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of simple home improvement materials.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Retail experience a plus.
