Reports To: Facilities Manager
The Custodian is responsible for cleaning all facilities at for the Providence Creek Academy Charter School.

• Relationships- the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and key school stakeholders across the school
• Knowledge- a working knowledge of the school climate, facilities, staff, systems and operations of PCA
• Dedication- a desire to aid all personnel and families in successfully enhancing the culture, educational capacity, and operations of PCA through proper sanitizing and cleaning of all responsible areas
• Community- Maintain relationships with vendors and community partners

Major Responsibilities Include:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Custodian will:

Clean and sanitize designated area

Empty trash, sweep, mop, and vacuum all offices, classrooms, hallways, and restrooms in your area

Wipe down all windows and blinds

Clean, dust, and wipe down all furniture

Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.

Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from parking lot, sidewalks, and stairs using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.

Refill restroom supplies and chemical feeds as needed

Assist in re-organization of physical spaces (classrooms, café, etc)

Other duties as assigned by supervisor or Head of School

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous custodial experience preferred
• Lift up to 50 lbs

Education:

• HS Diploma or equivalent

Skills
Ability to:

• Manage time effectively
• Remain organized
• Report in a timely fashion
• Communicate with various staff members
• Work on your feet for an entire shift

Compensation: $15.75 per hour
