Amentum is seeking a 2nd shift Facility Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Clayton, OH.

Typical work schedule:
Monday - Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm; hours may vary based on business demand. Weekend hours may be scheduled to support our 24/7 operation, including a weekend on‑call rotation.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, perform tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Review service requests for repairs and maintenance, determine the nature of the problem, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
  • Coordinate work with outside contractors and assure code and building standards are met.
  • Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities, equipment, fixtures, and systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility systems.
  • Perform work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.
  • Document specific needs (materials, supplies, instructions, etc.) as required.
  • Assist in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Work with or oversee subcontractor activities as directed by supervisor or work schedule.
  • Perform all other position‑related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School graduate or demonstrated equivalent.
  • 3years of experience in the area of specialization or a combination of education and experience.
  • Qualified applicants must pass a pre‑employment substance‑abuse test.
Additional Information
  • Position may require a valid driver’s license.
  • Position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
  • Position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.
  • Position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30feet or higher.
  • Regularly lift up to 50lbs.
  • Regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during the shift.
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, squat repetitively during the shift.
  • Regularly kneel repetitively for the shift.
  • Move in a 90‑degree fashion repetitively during the shift.
  • Stretch/reach repetitively during the shift.
  • Walk extensively throughout the plant during the shift.
  • Use a company/client approved utility knife.
  • Differentiate colors pertaining to wire color‑coding.
  • Perform repetitive wrist movements where required.
  • Interact with all clients professionally and friendly despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements
  • Wear steel‑toed safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Cope with work‑related stressors to maintain acceptable performance levels.
Other Attributes
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required.
  • May be required to work holidays and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience rebuilding pumps and motors.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuitry.
Compensation

Hourly rate: $28.00‑$33.00. Actual compensation may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable agreements, and relevant laws.
