Client is looking for a hands‑on Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor that will lead their maintenance/facilities teams. Floor‑level leadership role, working alongside your team, 8 direct reports.

Compensation: $80,000-$88,000
Location: everyday on‑site Clearwater, FL
On‑Call: for emergencies/alarms

Job Summary

The Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor leads the daily operations of the Maintenance department at the Clearwater facility, with full responsibility for both production equipment maintenance and facilities upkeep. This role oversees a team of maintenance mechanics across three shifts as well as facilities maintenance technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, executing the preventive maintenance program, maintaining the building and its systems, and driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Supervisor partners closely with Production, EHS, and Engineering to minimize downtime and support business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 7 maintenance mechanics across 3 shifts and 2 facilities maintenance technicians.
  • Coordinate shift coverage, scheduling, overtime, time‑off requests, and shift hand‑offs to ensure continuous maintenance support across all shifts.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and partner with HR on employee relations matters.
  • Ensure clear communication of priorities, work orders, and safety messages.
  • Identify training needs and skill gaps; develop cross‑training plans to reduce single‑point dependencies.
Equipment Maintenance Operations
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all production equipment.
  • Prioritize and assign work orders; ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Manage the maintenance work order system (CMMS); ensure accurate documentation of labor, parts usage, and repair history.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis on recurring equipment issues; drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment in partnership with Engineering.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, tools, and supplies; coordinate purchasing with vendors and procurement.
Facilities Maintenance
  • Oversee facilities maintenance activities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building infrastructure, lighting, and grounds.
  • Ensure facility systems are inspected, maintained, and repaired in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs, inspections, certifications, and capital projects.
  • Support facility improvement projects and small renovations as needed.
Technical Oversight
  • Provide technical guidance to the team on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
  • Ensure work is performed to applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 70E for electrical safety.
  • Review and approve schematics, drawings, and modifications; ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Safety, Compliance & EHS
  • Champion compliance with EHS policies, OSHA standards, lockout/tagout, arc flash, and PPE requirements.
  • Partner with the EHS team on safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained and certified for the equipment and systems they service.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and report key maintenance KPIs (uptime, MTTR, MTBF, PM completion rate, work order backlog).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce operating costs.
  • Support capital project planning and budgeting for the maintenance and facilities functions.
Qualifications Education
  • Minimum: Two‑year technical degree in Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience managing a maintenance team (required).
  • Experience supporting multi‑shift manufacturing operations (preferred).
