Position: Claims Adjuster (Auto)

CoverageX is in search of a proficient Claims Adjuster to oversee and handle Automotive Mechanical Breakdown claims within our office setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service abilities and a thorough understanding of vehicle mechanics. Successful Claims Adjusters will have opportunities for career growth, including enhanced compensation and increased responsibilities.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Confirm claim coverage by reviewing contract details, recalls, claims history, cause and extent of failure, service records, and other warranties.
  • Authorize appropriate repairs for covered claims in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Precisely calculate repair costs in cooperation with repair facilities.
  • Apply contract terms, conditions, and coverage to all claims.
  • Negotiate labor and parts costs as needed.
  • Approve or reject repairs, towing, and rental services based on contract language.
  • Document each claim clearly and consistently.
  • Monitor call queues and manage time efficiently to ensure availability for customers.
  • Promptly address customer issues, concerns, and complaints.
  • Use flat-rate online manuals to verify parts and labor.

Starting pay is $20 - $22 an hour based on experience.

Qualifications Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including repairs, parts, and labor
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical issues based on the complaint, cause, and correction provided
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in typing, computer systems, and software applications
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments and customer needs
  • ASE or Manufacturer certification is a plus, but not required
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods
  • Able to work during the hours of 9am to 6pm M-F
