Role Description

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Clearwater Beach, FL, responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of community facilities and common areas. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance requests, and carrying out repairs on equipment, building systems, and grounds. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance tasks, and coordinating with vendors or contractors when specialized work is required.

The Maintenance Technician will document work performed, prioritize tasks based on urgency, follow safety standards and regulatory requirements, and communicate clearly with community managers and residents about maintenance activities and timelines.

Compensation: starting at $23.00/hour, based on experience

Work Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday 7:30 am-4:00 pm

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for building systems, tools, and community facilities.
  • Experience in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and structural issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Background in Industrial Maintenance or similar environments, with the ability to work safely around machinery and systems.
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals, work orders, and safety procedures; strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Basic proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance-related equipment; familiarity with building codes and safety regulations is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact respectfully with residents, board members, and vendors.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications in maintenance or facilities management are beneficial.
  • CPO (Pool Operator) Certificate preferred; willing to sponsor certification and training.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
