Job Summary
Clemson University is looking for a Facilities Assistant to fulfill the following duties:
- Manages student crews in maintenance, repair, and operation of assigned athletics facilities.
- Directs set-up and breakdown of facilities for hosting athletic and non-athletic events and competitions.
- Manages off-season repairs and maintenance of athletic facilities.
- Athletic Facilities contact for personnel management related needs (ex. Kronos system management, and oversight of student and intermittent staff hiring processes).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists with routine maintenance such as clean-up, pressure washing, painting, drywall repair, and off-season maintenance (cleaning, painting, trash & weed removal, etc.).
- Assists in set-up and breakdown of all athletic facilities, including practice setups, Jervey Gym rentals, event setups, President's Box, West Endzone, track meet rentals, baseball stadium rentals, and installation/removal of rowing course.
- Troubleshoots facility maintenance issues during assigned games.
Licenses - Driver's License Class D normal (< 26,000)
Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures to apply in varied situations.
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Band: G02 ($12.69 / Hour – $13.00 / Hour). Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel LevelNormal Operations – Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
