Custodian - Tall Pines STEM Academy

Job Summary

Provides a clean, sanitary and orderly environment for the students, visitors, program participants and employees of Tall Pines STEM Academy. The housekeeper will be involved in the daily cleaning of site facilities, as well as responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly checklist.

• Custodial (55%): cleans offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, and stairways. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums all areas as needed. Collect trash throughout the facility. Handles various cleaning chemicals safely.
• Laundry (25%): washes all linens, sheets, towels etc. Keeps buildings ready for students and meetings. Ensures classrooms, bathrooms, cafeteria area, and common areas are cleaned and sanitized after use.
• Inventory (20%): replenishes supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning products), keeps inventory and stock on hand. Performs any additional duties assigned by the Principal.

Experience in custodial, housekeeping, or pest control work directly related to the area of employment.

• Job Knowledge: fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures and ability to apply them in varied situations.
• Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Budgetary Responsibilities: fiscal responsibilities for the department's budget, including financial planning and managing fund allocation.

Expected Salary Range: $14.76 - $19.18 per hour. Salary dependent on experience, knowledge, skills and performance following Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Normal Operations – required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, not expected to work on-site during emergencies.
