Facilities Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

Clemson University Athletics is looking for a Facilities Assistant to fulfill the duties outlined below.

• Performs custodial, housekeeping or groundskeeping duties to keep buildings or grounds in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 70% - Assists with facility operations and maintenance.
• 30% - Assist with general operations within the Athletic enterprise.

There are no minimum training or experience requirements for this class.

• JOB KNOWLEDGE:
  Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.
• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
  Not responsible for supervising employees.
• BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

• Move, transport, raise or lower 50 lbs or more: 5%
• Walk or move about: 25%
• Move, transport, raise or lower 30lbs or less: 10%
• Ascend or descend (i.e. stairs, ladder): 5%
• Use hands or feet to operate or handle machinery, equipment, etc.: 5%
• Position self to accomplish task (i.e. stoop, kneel, crawl): 5%

• Electrical hazards: 5%
• Wet and/or humid: 5%
• Chemical hazards: 5%
• Mechanical hazards: 5%
• Exposure to heat or cold: 5%
• Exposure to dust/fumes: 5%

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
