Salary Basis: Hourly

• Perform routine and more complex custodial duties.
• Clean and dust areas such as suites, offices, classrooms, kitchens, living spaces, laboratories, lobbies, museums, locker rooms, stairways, corridors, and elevators.
• Dust mop and wet mop floors.
• Clean and polish furniture and windows.
• Spray, buff, strip, seal, and wax floors as instructed.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and bathrooms.
• Clean glass, chalkboards, display cases, interior partitions, light fixtures, and other surfaces.
• Refill toilet paper, paper towels, and soap dispensers.
• Polish hardware such as door handles, push plates, kick plates, metal handrails, drinking fountains, and restroom trim (external piping, faucets, traps, and valves).
• Vacuum, spot clean, and shampoo carpets.
• Remove and clean floor mats and entrance rug runners.
• Wash walls, doors, and woodwork.
• Move furniture and equipment as required.
• Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintain adequate supply of cleaning equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Use cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, squeegees, cleaning cloths, sponges, pails, brushes, vacuum cleaners, and floor machines.
• Turn in found articles in accordance with University policy.
• Remove trash and trash containers from buildings to designated disposal areas.
• Report all repairs required and safety and fire hazards to building secretary and immediate supervisor.
• Observe safety standards and practices.
• Perform related duties as required or assigned within the job classification.
• Lift and carry objects of at least 30-60 pounds unassisted; assist others in moving objects greater than 30-60 pounds.
• Clean exterior windows on upper level buildings using commercial man lifts or other specified equipment.
• Assist in employee training when necessary.
• Must be available to work extra hours and weekends.

• Minimum of one year in cleaning services or related work.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
• Valid MS driver's license.

• Minimum of two years in cleaning services or related work.
• Valid MS driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.

Salary:
Hourly, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university's resources.
