General Zone Mechanic (Property Management)

Analyzes and responds in a self‑directed manner to tenant requests for services to a broad variety of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, vinyling and heating/cooling functions. Performs preventative maintenance and completes records for the building’s main mechanical systems; air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems. Performs safety checks; orders supplies and equipment as needed; performs related functions.

  Education Required:
  
  Two (2) years trade school degree or certification with training and instruction in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, electronics, and general mechanical maintenance.
• Experience & Training
  
  Required:
  
  Six (6) years of general maintenance work experience in the areas of plumbing, electrical, electronics, HVAC, painting, vinyling, and carpentry. OR Two (2) years general maintenance experience in one (1) or more of the above crafted skill areas.

• Physical ability to be on feet most of the day.
• May require working in a reaching or strained position, pushing, pulling and lifting light to heavy weight objects.

• Exposure to dust, dirt, variable temperatures, and long hours (due to emergencies).

$26.18/hr – $31.41/hr (Base salary exclusive of bonuses or differentials; the range listed is the full base salary range).
