Floater​/Fill-in Cleaner

Job Overview

Floater/Fill-in Cleaner – responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across multiple facilities. This role may involve covering shifts for Cleaners and Restroom Cleaners, assisting with projects, and performing daily janitorial tasks as assigned.

• Inspect all restrooms, restock supplies as needed, disinfect high‑touch areas, and perform any cleaning necessary to keep the space clean.
• Receive, acknowledge, and complete work orders assigned during your shift.
• Respond to management requests promptly.
• Adjust schedule based on client or management requests.
• Check elevator cabs and disinfect call buttons according to the schedule.
• Proactively address any cleaning issues found in common areas.
• Remove trash from receptacles in restrooms and common areas.
• Clean up spills as soon as possible.
• Maintain clear communication with the Account Supervisor or Manager.
• Clean scuff marks from walls, furniture, and baseboards.
• Clean and disinfect private restrooms.
• Vacuum carpet in detail, including hard‑to‑reach areas behind doors, corners, and edges.
• Keep storage closets clean and organized at all times.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition and report malfunctions.
• Perform project work such as cleaning lights, lamps, window washing, and similar tasks.
• Cover floors when employees call off.
• Clean stairwells, signage, and related areas.
• Assist with checking floors.
• Clean escalators and elevators.
• Use miscellaneous flooring equipment as needed.
• Assist team lead and supervisor on any additional duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

• No prior experience required; some experience preferred.
• Adaptable and able to work as a team to complete tasks on time.
• Polite and respectful with clients, guests, and colleagues.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Ability to lift items up to 25 lbs while moving around, climb ladders, and perform other physical duties. Ability to stand and walk for up to 100% of the work time.
