Operating Room Custodial Worker-Environmental Services (80 hrs Biweekly Nights) - Job

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER, CLEVELAND, OH

11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (Rotating Weekends and Holidays)

• Perform housekeeping duties after each surgery to ensure a clean and sanitary operating room.
• Follow all infection‑control regulations and guidelines.
• Uphold Metro Health System’s mission, vision, values, and customer‑service standards.

• High school diploma or equivalency exam; 1 year of housekeeping, janitorial, or service‑based experience (or 2 years in lieu of a diploma).
• Proficiency in operating and caring for departmental equipment (high‑speed buffer, battery‑powered scrubber, wet/dry suction, scaffolding, etc.).
• Completion of sterilization‑technique training within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to push/pull 70–150 pounds and lift 10–40 pounds.

• Experience working in a healthcare setting.

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Normal visual and auditory ranges with or without correction.
• Exposure to chemicals, bioburden, and cleaning products is required.
