Parking Maintenance/Porter – Metro Health Medical Center, Main Campus
Starting Pay: $16 - $18 per hour

Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends; 2nd shift (3 pm to 11 pm).
Responsibilities- Perform daily cleanliness checks of all guest entrances, elevators, and garage areas, including emptying ash urns, trash receptacles, sweeping litter, and removing cigarette butts – 20% of shift.
- Use mops or a power washer to eliminate stains and clean signage and way finding materials, including pay‑on‑foot stations – 20% of shift.
- Maintain general truck and car cleaning with a mobile garbage can, broom, and dustpan, removing debris from vehicles and surrounding areas – 15% of shift.
- Clean signage, gates, card readers, and other equipment with suitable cleaning solutions – 15% of shift.
- Empty returned guest key receptacles, return keys to the MOD, and perform power‑wash on entrance/exit areas as needed – 10% of shift.
- Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and provide information about the area and attractions – 10% of shift.
- Protect guest confidentiality and maintain security of financial and identifying information in accordance with HIPAA – 10% of shift.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Required Licensure or Certification: Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Work Experience: One to three months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge: Basic general cleaning.
Skills:
- Read and write Standard English.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one or small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
- Understand rates applicable to time passed.
- Customer service experience preferred.
Work is performed outdoors for the majority of the shift in varying weather conditions. Tasks include standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and other physical demands necessary to maintain garage cleanliness and guest services.
