Maintenance Manager Position SummaryThe Maintenance Manager oversees the daily, hands‑on facilities operations of an assigned school building. This role ensures the building is safe, clean, functional, and ready to support a high‑quality learning environment. The Maintenance Manager works on-site and reports to the Facilities Director.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day‑to‑day building operations, maintenance, and custodial activities
- Perform and coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems; troubleshoot issues as needed
- Respond promptly to facility issues and emergencies
- Coordinate vendors and contractors for repairs and services
- Support room setups, events, and daily school operations
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and facility standards
- Serve as the primary on‑site contact for facilities‑related needs
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or site operations
- Strong working knowledge of building systems
- Ability to perform hands‑on maintenance and manage multiple priorities
- Reliable, safety‑focused, and service‑oriented
- Full‑time, on‑site
- Occasional evenings or weekends as needed
