General Service Worker/Janitor

Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for a 1st shift General Service Worker/Janitor for our Cleveland plant.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience preferably in a production environment.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the job of the janitor is to perform a wide variety of custodial duties to provide a clean, orderly and safe work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (
* Essential Functions)

These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Empty trash & replace liners in offices, diners, restrooms, and production areas
• Vacuums all carpeted areas
• Lifts up to 75 pounds through the day
• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and breakrooms
• Sweep and mops all vinyl and concrete floors
• Dust offices, diners, conference rooms and top of workstations
• Cleans windows and glass doors

Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.

• Re-stock supply closets
• Tracks custodial inventory
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• Regular exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals more than 50% of the work time.
• Incumbent constantly required to walk, stand, carry, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twisting and use manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time.
• Incumbent regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision
• Incumbent occasionally required to climb, carry and lift up to 75 lbs
