Maintenance Technician - entry level

Entry-level Maintenance Technician Integrity Cleveland Hts (Coventry/Cedar/Fairmount neighborhoods) M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Integrity Realty Group is seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our property maintenance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, hardworking, enjoys working with their hands, and is interested in learning the maintenance trade. The primary focus of this position will be keeping our properties clean, safe, and well-maintained, while providing support to our experienced Maintenance Technicians.

You will work alongside experienced team members and learn basic maintenance skills and procedures on the job.
Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of property grounds, including picking up trash, maintaining common areas, and addressing general groundskeeping needs.
• Clean and maintain common areas, hallways, laundry rooms, mechanical areas, and other shared spaces.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with day-to-day maintenance tasks as a second set of hands.
• Assist with apartment turns, including cleaning, removal of debris, painting, basic repairs, and preparing apartments for new residents.
• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks as directed and within your skill level.
• Assist with moving materials, equipment, appliances, and other items as needed.
• Help keep maintenance shops, work areas, and equipment clean and organized.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, leaf cleanup, and other grounds-related tasks.
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

No prior apartment maintenance experience is required. We are willing to teach the basics to someone who is dependable, motivated, and genuinely interested in learning. As you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in areas such as basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and general apartment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, construction, landscaping, custodial, or other hands-on experience is helpful but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning new skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take initiative.
• Ability to work independently once trained.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools or willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test (including marijuana).

Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. The employee must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and weather conditions.
