Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance functions for The Wholeness Project including maintenance assignments and completion of work ranging from handyman types of needs to the trades to organizing storage rooms to occasional janitorial tasks. This role operates under a collaborative partnership between Bridge City Church (BCC) and The Wholeness Project (TWP). To comply with organizational agreements, the Maintenance Technician is officially hired and legally employed by Bridge City Church, while his/her services are leased to TWP.

He/she reports to TWP for all day-to-day operational responsibilities.

• Perform day-to-day and seasonal maintenance of the buildings and campus grounds of the The Wholeness Project property, as directed and within timeframe and budget expectations.
• Provide hands on skills from handyman to trades they are experienced and comfortable with (e.g. painting, drywall, etc.) to organizing storage areas and light moving for room setups as needed.
• Keep the Campus Life Manager informed about campus maintenance needs.
• Maintain the grounds through lawn mowing, landscaping projects and snow removal.
• Help with urgent janitorial services when the contracted cleaning crew is unavailable.
• Help maintain the Workshop (in coordination with the other maintenance staff) with appropriate supplies and level of cleanliness.
• Report and address any health and safety concerns as it relates to facilities and grounds.

• Work alongside other maintenance staff
• Navigate maintenance needs with campus residents leasing space on campus and licensed users occupying space temporarily
• Help to instruct project-based volunteers for facilities and ground

• Diverse skill set in the construction trades to perform general maintenance.
• Solid relational skills in working with people (coworkers, volunteers, tradesmen, campus residents and users, etc.).
• Solid work ethic as demonstrated by completing tasks on time and within budget, reporting to work on time, leaving the workspace clean and orderly at the end of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Extensive walking required and ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.

• High School diploma, equivalent, or in process
• 1-3 or more years work experience in a maintenance and/or trade profession
• Valid drivers license with a safe driving record
• Satisfactory background check required for all positions
