Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of our facility, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment and machinery.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance requirements and address them promptly.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Support the maintenance team in repairing and maintaining the grounds, including landscaping, irrigation, and snow removal.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure a safe and clean working environment for employees and visitors.
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures, reporting any safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in performing preventative maintenance activities to prolong the lifespan of equipment and minimize downtime.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
