Custodian; Part-Time Night Shift

Upper Montclair Country Club (UMCC) is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Custodian to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. Schedule: Part‑Time, Night Shift (PM hours)

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Benefits: This position is not benefits‑eligible

In this role, you’ll help ensure our club remains a clean, welcoming, and well‑maintained environment for our members and staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout the facility
• Moving and arranging tables, chairs, and other equipment as needed
• Assisting with basic painting and upkeep projects
• Performing light maintenance and minor repairs
• Repairing equipment or appliances when needed
• Supporting general facility upkeep and responding to urgent maintenance requests
• Taking on additional tasks or special projects as assigned

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced setting
• Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Reliable, organized, and punctual
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

• Must be able to work evening (PM) shifts
• Weekend and holiday availability is required
