Formerly known as the Water of Clinton, Woodland Post Acute is looking to grow our team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Helps ensure the facility remains in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations for Life Safety Code compliance.
Follow the department’s policies and procedure manuals.
Assist with preventative and unplanned maintenance and repair activities in the facility, which includes painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and electrical work.
Helps ensure that services performed by outside vendors are properly completed/supervised in accordance with contracts/work orders.
Helps ensure the facility’s Fire Safety program complies with the current Life Safety Code and Health Care Facilities Code(s). Includes but is not limited to required fire and disaster drills, training on the facility’s fire safety plan, safe use of oxygen, electrical safety. Helps ensure facility compliance with multiple OSHA standards. Additional required training may include but are not limited to those related to reporting of work-related incidents, blood borne pathogens-hazardous waste removal, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, and ergonomics.
Assists with the development and implementation of the facility’s Emergency Preparedness Plan.
Assists in the implementation of preventive maintenance tasks, document instructions and procedures for the preventative maintenance of facility and utility components and office equipment, as well as, mechanical, air conditioning, heating, and electrical systems, etc. Helps ensure the facility’s compliance with the law and other regulatory terms such as safety and building codes. Reads and interprets blueprints to monitor the upkeep of electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
Runs, operates, and assesses technical aspects of facility machinery, equipment, and buildings.
Additional Assigned TasksTreats all residents with dignity and respect. Promotes and protects all residents’ rights.
Establishes a culture of compliance by adhering to all facility policies and procedures. Complies with standards of business conduct, state/federal regulations, and guidelines.
Follows appropriate safety and hygiene measures at all times to protect residents and themselves.
Maintains confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written, and electronic communications.
Reports noncompliance with policies, procedures, regulations, or breaches in
confidentiality to appropriate personnel. Reports any retaliation or discrimination to the Administrator.
Reports any allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation of property, exploitation, or mistreatment of residents to supervisor and/or administrator. Protects residents from abuse and cooperates with all investigations.
Reports any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and/or hazardous chemicals in accordance with facility policy.
Coordinates all life safety and emergency drills and training. Fulfills responsibilities as assigned during implementation or activation of the facility’s emergency plan.
Performs and monitors required inspections of facility equipment.
Reports work-related injuries and illnesses immediately to supervisor.
Follows established infection control policies and procedures.
As a condition of employment, completes all assigned training and skills of competency.
Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families, visitors, and associates.
Performs routine repair and maintenance to the facility.
Performs regular safety inspections of the facility and documents the findings.
Submits accident/incident reports within twenty-four (24) hours of their occurrence.
Participates in surveys/inspections by external agencies.
Develops a plan of correction for maintenance deficiencies identified during a facility survey.
