Minimum pay $15.19/hour (+more DOE)
Evening shift receives add’l $2.00/hour shift differential
JOB SUMMARY
To maintain the hospital interior and furnishings in a clean, aseptic and orderly fashion, promoting the recovery of our patients, and ensuring a pleasant environment for our guests, visitors and staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read, understand and follow simple directions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. May be required to have a valid Wyoming driver’s license to perform cleaning duties in out‑buildings.

SKILLS
- Must possess a high degree of confidentiality of all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information and uphold all residents’ rights while maintaining dignity and privacy for each individual resident.
- Must have ability to make light conversation while working around the residents. Must have the ability to communicate with staff and public in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
- Interest in the welfare of the patients and visitors.
- Must be able to work around unpleasant odors and illnesses.
- Must have the ability to multi‑task.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
May be required to have a valid clean active driver’s license to perform cleaning duties in out‑buildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Clean all areas of an assignment given by the department Director of Plant Operations and Environmental Services /Supervisor according to the policies and procedures as set by the Hospital and Environmental Services Department. This cleaning is to include but is not limited to the following as assigned by schedules.
- All patient rooms, furnishings and bathrooms.
- All visitor or guest lobbies and restrooms.
- All ancillary departments, lounges and dining rooms.
- Removal of trash, cleaning of halls and carpets.
- Completing and assisting with periodic project work.
- Washing walls, windows.
- Shampooing carpets
- Buffing and maintaining hard floors.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Follow standard precautions as set forth by O.S.H.A. and Hospital regulations.
- Wearing of gloves, frequent handwashing.
- Use of other personal protective equipment.
- Understanding and following isolation procedures.
- Needs to familiarize self with the use and protection of equipment for blood borne pathogens as stated in the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
- Knowledge of chemicals, names and use/dilutions.
- Identifies chemical by name.
Proper use of chemicals.

- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets and where they are located.

- Communication with patient regarding patient’s rights.
- Special requests.
- General cleaning duties will include:
Occupied patient rooms, dismissal unit, utilities, nursery, offices, laboratory, radiology, emergency, dining rooms, floor refinishing, general floor care, carpet and furniture shampooing, general trash removal, red waste removal, restrooms. - Will use the following equipment:
High speed buffers, small scrubbers, vacuums (small and wide areas), extractors (small and wide areas), automatic floor scrubbers, wet floor scrubber, wet floor signs, carts, ladders.
