Boat Bottom Cleaner Job Summary

Do you enjoy working outside, staying busy, and don't mind getting a little dirty? Hagadone Marine Group is looking for a dependable Boat Bottom Cleaner to join our team for the boating season!

This is a hands-on job that involves cleaning the bottoms of boats and removing algae, dirt, and buildup to keep our boats looking their best. The work can be repetitive and tedious at times, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in doing a thorough job and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.

You'll be working outside in all kinds of weather and using cleaning chemicals on a daily basis. The job also involves operating a tractor and requires a lot of bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and being on your feet.

This is a seasonal position with the opportunity to move into a full-time position within the department for the right person.

• Clean boat bottoms and remove algae, dirt, and buildup.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properly.
• Operate a tractor and other equipment.
• Help move and position boats when needed.
• Look over boats for anything that may need attention and let your supervisor know.
• Keep equipment, supplies, and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work with the team to get boats cleaned and ready for our customers.
• Help with other marina and boat maintenance tasks when needed.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Dependable and shows up ready to work.
• Comfortable doing physical, repetitive work.
• Willing to work outside in the heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals.
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable operating equipment or willing to learn.
• Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing a good job.
• Able to work independently but also enjoys being part of a team.
• Willing to learn and take direction.

Marine or boat experience is a plus, but it's not required. We'll teach you what you need to know if you have the right attitude and work ethic.

Employees will receive an End-of-the-Season Bonus of $1 for every hour worked throughout the season!

To qualify, you must remain employed with Hagadone Marine Group through the entire season.

This starts as a seasonal position, but we're always looking for great people to add to our year-round team. For the right person, there is an opportunity to move into a full-time position within the department.
