North Idaho Dermatology is seeking a highly dependable, detail-oriented medical cleaning professional or experienced healthcare cleaning company to provide environmental cleaning services for our Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls locations.

We are accepting applications for W-2 employment as well as bids from qualified independent contractors’/cleaning companies interested in providing services on a 1099 basis.

1099 bids to clean our Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls facilities five days per week are welcome.

This is not standard commercial or office cleaning. Our facilities include medical, procedural, and surgical areas requiring exceptional attention to infection prevention, OSHA requirements, hazardous materials, medical waste, and proper cleaning and disinfection protocols.

• Routine cleaning and disinfection of medical, clinical, administrative, and common areas
• Terminal cleaning of surgical and procedure areas
• Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces and patient-care areas
• Proper floor care, including experience with waxing and maintaining floors
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and detailed floor cleaning
• Thorough dusting, including corners, baseboards, fixtures, ledges, and other easily overlooked areas
• Cleaning and disinfecting sinks, countertops, fixtures, break areas, and common spaces
• Complete restroom cleaning and disinfection, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, fixtures, and replenishment of supplies
• Following proper disinfectant procedures and required contact times
• Knowledge of and adherence to applicable OSHA and Bloodborne Pathogens requirements
• Appropriate use of PPE
• Proper handling of regulated medical waste and biohazardous materials
• Knowledge of sharps safety and proper handling of sharps containers
• Following appropriate procedures for blood and other potentially infectious material spills
• Proper separation and handling of medical, biohazardous, and general waste
• Completion of required cleaning and safety documentation
• Prompt reporting of environmental, infection-control, maintenance, or safety concerns
• Maintaining patient privacy, confidentiality, and professionalism

Attention to Detail Is Essential

We are looking for someone who notices the details others may overlook. The expectation is not simply that an area looks clean—it must be appropriately cleaned and disinfected for a healthcare environment.

Previous experience in a medical office, hospital, surgery center, procedural facility, dental surgical environment, or other healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of OSHA standards, terminal cleaning, infection prevention, PPE, biohazard precautions, medical waste, healthcare-grade disinfection, and floor care/waxing is highly desirable.

Background Screening

Due to access to healthcare facilities, patient-care areas, and potentially sensitive or restricted areas, successful completion of a criminal background check is required prior to employment or engagement.
