We are looking for a reliable, self‑motivated individual who takes pride in the physical school community.

Key Responsibilities 1/ Facility Maintenance & Minor Repairs
  • Perform routine, light maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, changing light bulbs/LED ballasts, and swapping out HVAC air filters.

  • Manage daily trash and recycling removal from classrooms and common spaces.
  • Operate commercial cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor scrubbers/buffers) when necessary.
  • Respond promptly to emergency cleanups during the school day (spills, accidents).
3/ Groundskeeping & Security
  • Maintain clean and safe exterior pathways, including picking up litter, sweeping entryways, and managing ice/snow removal from sidewalks during winter weather.
  • Assist in opening or securing the building, ensuring doors are locked and windows are shut at the conclusion of the shift.
4/ Event Support & Logistics
  • Set up and arrange furniture, stages, or AV carts for school assemblies, staff meetings, and special evening events.
  • Provide custodial support during scheduled evening events and handle the post-event cleanup.
  • Assist with receiving and moving heavy shipments, large packages, or furniture deliveries.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or building maintenance (experience in a school environment is a plus).
  • Skills: Knowledge of standard cleaning methods, chemical safety (MSDS sheets), and safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 lbs frequently. Comfortable climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
