We are currently looking for a Residential Service Manager for our 81-unit community in College Park, Maryland. The incumbent is a key member of the residential operations leadership team.

Your New Role

As the Building Service Manager, you ensure your community is a great place to live by overseeing and supporting the maintenance team in keeping the asset safe, clean and inviting and by ensuring that maintenance issues in residents' apartment homes are resolved in a timely and appropriate manner. Most of your day is spent providing outstanding customer service, training and coaching team members and overseeing maintenance functions related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance maintenance tickets.

You are an important member of a larger team responsible for ensuring the residents of the community have an exceptional experience.

What Sets You Apart Experience

You have at least 5 years of trusted experience in residential, commercial, healthcare, and/or hospitality building maintenance and a track record of exceptional customer service and client relations.

Skills

Youdemonstrate strength in building trades, complex mechanical building systems to include central plant systems, preventative maintenance, budget and vendor/subcontractor management . You have successfully led CAPX projects delivering on time and within budget. You enjoy interactions with all types of people and take pride in your ability to make the customer happy by solving their maintenance issues. You treat everyone with kindness and respect.

You are organized, have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail. A high school GED and CFC certification is required.

Physical Requirements /Work Conditions

You must possess the ability to lift, carry or move heavy equipment and boxes (up to 50lbs), regularly ascend or descend a ladder, or stand or sit for long periods of time. You may be required to work irregular hours (overnight, weekends, overtime). The physical work environment includes occasionally working outside, sometimes in inclement weather.
