** Organization's Summary Statement:
The Department of Residential Facilities is responsible for the maintenance and housekeeping services for the College Park Campus' 70+ residence halls, Greek chapter houses, and recreational facilities encompassing over 2.7 million square feet. The department employs over 300 exempt, non-exempt, and student staff.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Night Housekeeper position is responsible for completion of daily housekeeping/custodial duties in the Eppley Recreation Center, Ritchie Coliseum, Golf Course Clubhouse, Yahentamitsi and 251 North Dining Halls, and Reckord Armory. Within an assigned area or building(s), the position will perform the full range of housekeeping tasks to include but not limited to trash removal, floor care, restroom/locker room cleaning, public area cleaning, and high dusting.

The evening program is a seven-day-a-week program with operational hours 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Incumbent would also have to stand, walk, bend, twist, and stoop as part of regular duties. As part of staff training and skills development, the incumbent may need to demonstrate how to effectively perform overhead work and use powered equipment.
Incumbent may be required to work in non-air-conditioned spaces, work with cleaning chemicals, lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work will involve repetitive motion. The incumbent will be required to inspect work, which may involve bending, stooping, walking, and climbing.

Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations; to operate assigned tools and housekeeping equipment; to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions; to understand and follow directions; to lift and transport supplies and refuse; to wear and work in personal protective equipment.

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
