General Labor, Building Maintenance
Perform general maintenance tasks throughout the campus. Hours for this position are Monday‑Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities- Must have a demonstrated ability to perform several tasks within a specific time period without immediate supervision.
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
- Some ability to operate light automotive trucks, wheel tractors, sidewalk plows/sanders and other similar maintenance, repair, and construction equipment.
- Knowledge of the use of common hand tools and portable handheld power tools.
- Some experience in general maintenance manual labor and in the use of tools.
- Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time under varying climate conditions.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must hold a current, valid driver’s license and meet all of the College’s requirements for the Motor Vehicle Use Policy.
- Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.
- Communication skills using the spoken word.
- Ability to see within normal parameters.
- Ability to hear within normal range.
- Ability to move about.
