The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep facilities, equipment, and building systems operating safely and efficiently. This role supports daily operations by maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems in a fast-paced healthcare and distribution environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, building operations, or equipment repair.
What You Will Do- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues
- Inspect facilities and equipment to identify potential maintenance concerns
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Repair or replace equipment components, including motors, pumps, wiring, and piping
- Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors on maintenance projects when needed
- Support the installation of new equipment and facility improvements
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA requirements
- Help minimize downtime and maintain a safe, productive work environment
- Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience. May have degree or equivalent
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems
- Basic computer skills for work orders, maintenance records, and data entry
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, or schematics
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions
- Technical school certification, trade certification, or associate degree in HVAC, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field
- Experience with HVAC systems, building automation systems (BMS), or facility control systems
- Experience working in distribution, healthcare, manufacturing, or warehouse environments
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and maintenance safety practices
- Experience supporting preventative maintenance programs
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working with contractors and external service providers
- Valid driver's license
- On-site role supporting facility and equipment operations
- Combination of office, warehouse, and building maintenance areas
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting
- Exposure to maintenance equipment, machinery, and varying facility conditions
- Occasional overtime or emergency response support may be required
