Maintenance Manager
The Sr. Manager - Facilities Support Operations under the leadership of the Director of Facilities will be responsible for managing the daily maintenance operations including the CCMS/CMMS operation, the work order lifecycle process, the planning and scheduling of maintenance and calibration activities, and the MRO inventory across multiple facilities. This position will oversee the maintenance support operations through strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMPs in a biotechnology facility, coordinating with manufacturing operators, engineers, maintenance and calibration technicians, validation, quality, and external suppliers to deliver excellence in the maintenance operational activities of FLBT.
The role also ensures departmental milestones and goals are met in accordance with approved plans and budgets.
- Accountable as a system owner for the management and operation of the Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager (CCMS/CMMS) across multiple facilities.
- Work with eQMS system administrators on changes, configuration and improvements for the CCMS/CMMS.
- Accountable for daily maintenance operations including work order lifecycle, planning & scheduling, and MRO inventory across facilities.
- Accountable for maintenance/calibration events and Bill of Materials creation and management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the MRO inventory strategy across facilities.
- Work effectively with team members and system users on CCMS/CMMS issues.
- Coordinate facility shutdowns (systems and equipment) to ensure safety, minimize disruptions, and maintain compliance.
- Recommend improvements to the CCMS/CMMS system for site leadership.
- Evaluate CCMS/CMMS data to identify MTBF and potential improvements using PDMs, RCM, RCA, and other methodologies.
- Conduct periodic reviews and reports on CCMS/CMMS performance and user utilization.
- Work directly with Manufacturing, Validation, QA, Metrology, Maintenance, Facilities, and QC to support department needs related to CCMS/CMMS.
- Plan and schedule calibration and maintenance activities for instrumentation, systems, and equipment across facilities.
- Maintain workload balance across the Metrology and Maintenance Departments.
- Develop, write, edit, and/or review SOPs for maintenance operations.
- Implement, maintain, and monitor departmental KPIs to ensure high efficiency.
- Handle multiple priorities quickly and efficiently, delegating tasks to appropriate trades and skill levels.
- Ensure departmental cGMP regulatory compliance at all times.
- Provide leadership to the facilities support operations staff across multiple facilities.
- Assist the Director of Facilities and Executive Leadership Team in establishing strategic directions for maintenance operations and setting objectives.
- Demonstrate continuous personal pursuit of job knowledge, technical proficiency, and problem‑solving abilities.

- Assist with writing job descriptions, interviewing, and hiring personnel for maintenance operations.
- Hire, train, develop and evaluate maintenance operations staff, taking corrective action as necessary and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

- Strong knowledge of Blue Mountain RAM implementation, calibration procedures, and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of typical maintenance tasks (PM, spare parts, work order lifecycle, troubleshooting) and general engineering principles and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; self‑motivated with interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work quickly and effectively without constant supervision; supervise skilled personnel in maintenance operations.
