Winter caretaker/Full-Time Maintenance

Come join our full-time team and live in Saltery Cove Alaska. Housing and utilities, including high-speed Starlink internet. Is included in this job.

Your duties will be full-time care and supervision of our fishing lodge and all its buildings, management of the generators and all equipment. Taking care of the building to ensure no damage or moisture damage accrues. Tasks such as organization and inventory list of all equipment, small construction jobs such as painting, flooring, cleaning, trim work, plumbing and electrical work will be assigned.

Also, Maintenance of our boats that are left at the lodge.

You will also have to have boating experience, construction experience in most fields, and fabrication experience, use of welders, and metal working tools.

Also, use of chain saws and cutting firewood is a must; use of all hand tools is also a must.

The ideal candidate will be a person who has lived in or worked in the backcountry of Alaska for long extended periods of time and has the creativity and ingenuity to solve problems off-grid.

Knowledge of off grid life is a must for this job.

You will be able to hunt, fish and enjoy the serenity of Alaskan life in your free time and days off.

During the summer months you will be a full-time maintenance caretaker of the facility and help keep the grounds, facility and all its water and swages systems in order, as well as all maintenance issues at the lodge. You will run a small staff during the summer months to help during peak summertime when our guests are present.

Management and being able to work with small and medium-sized teams are a must!

From May to September, food will also be included in your salary.

Accommodations are spectacular and very comfortable.
