What's the Job?

Working as a Maintenance Worker
, you can expect to join a crew performing a variety of manual and skilled tasks that help maintain Collierville's streets, drainage systems, and public rights of way. This includes, but is not limited to, the maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, drainage infrastructure, and traffic control devices; performing traffic control and flagging operations; working in and around confined spaces and trench excavations;

assisting with vegetation management and debris removal within public rights of way; and operating a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Employees in this position play an important role in maintaining safe and accessible roadways, drainage systems, and public spaces throughout the community. This position may also require responding to emergencies during work hours and after‑hour callouts.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Previous experience and/or training in maintenance or construction is preferred but not required
