We are searching for a Full-Time
Maintenance Technician to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Technician directs and implements maintenance programs aimed at keeping an attractive and functional environment for our guests. The Maintenance department inspects, sustains, and repairs mechanical, electrical, and other equipment used by the guests to enhance the quality of their stay.

• Creates a safe and attractive environment for guests and associates by ensuring the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards
• Completes hotel room and building repairs such as replacing filters, light bulbs, door locks, screen doors, and painting
• Performs repairs on toilets, sinks, laundry facilities, and other hotel fixtures
• Develops plans for completing routine, preventative maintenance, and renovations
• Coordinates work with hotel department managers
• Ensures hotel adheres to all regulatory and safety standards by meeting with government and insurance inspectors and taking corrective action as needed
• Performs repairs on housekeeping equipment including carts, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
• Assists in laundry with changing chemicals on machines and cleaning lint screens
• Empties outdoor trash receptacles and dog waste receptacles at regular intervals
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor
• Maintains customers’ privacy
• Treats all coworkers with respect
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Eighteen years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years hotel or apartment maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing maintenance
• Experience with general maintenance tools
• Troubleshooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, and carpentry
• Computer skills such as typing and navigating property management systems required
• Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events
• Ability to work weekends
