Floor Stripper (Same as Floor Tech)

Work Schedule:

Monday - Sunday 6:00 PM‑2:00 AM (As Needed).

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• At least one year’s experience in a custodial operations facility or comparable setting.
• Working knowledge and demonstrated ability in floor care procedures.
• Working knowledge and demonstrated competency in the operation and care of all equipment and chemicals used in the performance of the duties of this position.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of low and high‑speed buffers, including burnishers, automatic floor cleaning machines, wet/dry vacuums, carpet extractors, etc.

• Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating an agency vehicle, have a good driving record, a valid driver’s license, and/or the required level of personal auto insurance.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, per company requirements.
• Listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentiality.
• Adequate ability in communicating in spoken conversation – adequate volume of speech.
• Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers.

Janitorial Supervisor

Performs duties that involve providing proper cleaning and maintenance to all hard surface and carpeted floors in accordance with janitorial contract requirements. Must be familiar with and practice appropriate job safety requirements, and use required personal protective equipment associated with the job assignment. Must be capable of completing the administrative requirements of the job if assigned to a position that requires such work.

Responsible for performing all assigned duties in accordance with contract requirements and company policy, seeking support from next‑level management as necessary.

• Spray buffer/burnish hard surface floors, strip/finish/wax floors, and carpet clean/shampoo using various types of equipment (shampoo machines, steam machines, and floor buffers).
• Perform emergency cleanup services on hard surfaces and carpeted floors due to water leaks, spills, etc.
• Ensure that all buildings and assigned vehicle(s) are secured, and that keys are controlled according to policy/supervisor instructions.
• Operate vehicles safely in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations; assist with vehicle inspections and cleaning when needed.
• Notify supervisor of any buildings or areas scheduled for service that are closed or inaccessible.
• Perform daily visual inspections of all assigned equipment, report broken or unsafe equipment and identify discrepancies in assigned buildings to the supervisor.
• Maintain supply inventory, including proper labeling, stocked in an organized manner, and order supplies promptly so that adequate inventory is always available.
• Comply with the proper use of personal protective equipment in accordance with manufacturer requirements and company policy.

• Perform other duties as required to fulfill janitorial contract obligations or changes based upon customer needs.
• Perform duties outlined in the janitorial custodian job description on an as‑needed basis to fill in during an emergency or absence of normal janitorial personnel.
• May be required to carry a company‑issued pager or other communication device (if assigned); responsible for ensuring that it is operational during assigned working hours for communication with supervisor.

• Adequate ability for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
• Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and in all situations.
• Ability to move safely about the work area.
• Ability to retrieve items from high and low areas.
• Ability to perceive size, discrimination, temperature, shapes, and/or textures.
• Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to safely load and/or transport items weighing 25 pounds between work locations.

$ 21.85 per hour
