Compensation (Pay)

$25.33 to $37.02 /hourly, based on experience.

Job Summary

The Facilities Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician performs maintenance on the following Facilities equipment:
Air Compressors, Air Dryers and variable‑speed Air Handlers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance, repair and efficient operation of the roof‑top HVAC units.
  • Maintenance includes the chemical treatment and testing of all closed water systems and required record keeping.
  • Routine duties include the operation and maintenance of all electrical, pneumatic, and digital control systems as related to the HVAC systems.
  • Additional duties include general Facilities tasks such as the repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds, furniture relocation, general equipment repair and maintenance and snow removal.
  • Facilities technicians also provide after‑hours coverage via the "on‑call program." This is a 7‑day, 24‑hour, on‑call status requiring the technician to promptly respond to alarms or after‑hour requests within 20‑30 minutes at all PVCHC sites. PVCHC uniform required when responding to alarms or after‑hour requests.
  • Operates corporate and/or personal vehicles, if applicable, in a safe and professional manner at all times. Travels to any/all of Peak Vista’s facilities as needed.

Education / Experience
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent education. Associate degree in HVAC Design & Maintenance preferred.
  • Work Experience:

    Three years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment required.
Computer Skills

Basic – ability to access the intranet/internet to manage timecard, review policies and procedures, and read company communications; use e‑mail to communicate with co‑workers, leadership, and other departments; enter and correct data, modify a workbook, format a worksheet, and use printing functions; create a simple presentation in PowerPoint, run it, and print it.
