As a Park Maintenance Technician (Seasonal), you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our parks and facilities are welcoming spaces for families to gather, relax, and have fun.
- Mow lawns, maintain turf, repair irrigation systems, and keep our parks looking fresh.
- Handle minor repairs, paint touch-ups, plumbing fixes, and minor electrical repairs.
- Operate and maintain power tools, lawnmowers, and County vehicles like a pro.
- Pick up trash, clean restrooms, and help keep our public spaces spotless.
- Help set up and support special events that bring the community together.
- Be an extra set of eyes to spot potential safety and address them quickly.

Our seasonal hiring event awaits you on Monday, March 9th, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Bear Creek Nature Center, located at 245 Bear Creek Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. To be considered for an interview at the hiring event, applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m., Sunday, March 8th. Please note that interview capacity limited. Positions will be filled at the following locations:
- North - Fox Run Regional Park
- Central - Bear Creek Regional Park
- East - Calhan Fairgrounds
- South - Fountain Creek Regional Park
Hiring Rate: $18.50 - $19.05 hourly
This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday – Friday or Friday – Monday; work schedule may vary, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm for 8-hour schedules or 6:00 am - 4:30 pm for 10-hour schedules, subject to change.

Under close supervision, assists with a variety of unskilled or limited semi-skilled labor tasks in the areas of park and grounds maintenance, facility or equipment maintenance, and construction. Employment is subject to the terms, conditions, and policies detailed in the Personnel Policies Manual (PPM). This position requires regular in-person presence as an essential job function.
- Performs unskilled or limited semi-skilled labor in any or all of the areas of grounds maintenance, facility or equipment maintenance, and construction, including turf and irrigation maintenance, minor construction, trash collection, and facility cleaning to include cleaning of restrooms.
- Operates assigned tools and equipment, including power tools as needed for assigned maintenance and improvement projects.
- Drives County vehicles and other equipment to perform assigned duties; operates all County vehicles and equipment per County guidelines.
