This position is a part of the Colorado Army National Guard, Facilities Management Branch at the Ft. Carson Regional Training Institute located in Colorado Springs. This position works Friday through Monday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other duties to ensure buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• clean offices, meeting rooms, and common areas;
• mop tile and concrete floors;
• vacuum all carpeted areas;
• dust furniture and fixtures;
• wash and disinfect washroom floors, toilets, hand dryers, sinks, toilet partitions, and fixtures;
• clean mirrors;
• replenish paper towels, tissue paper, soap, etc. as needed;
• empty all waste baskets and garbage cans;
• clean building entrances and exits including glass, doors, and hardware, as well as keeping them free from snow, paper, cans, etc.;
• clean, wash, and disinfect all drinking fountains;
• washing down walls, doors, hardware, and glass;
• perform minor maintenance repairs;
• clean kitchen sinks and counters;
• wash and buff floors with floor polisher;
• dust and clean office window blinds and seals;
• secure storage areas;
• ensuring cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and organized manner;
• maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies;
• comply and adhere to OSHA and hazmat/material safety data sheets; and
• report damages, theft, and repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience Only:
Six (6) months of relevant custodial experience that included complying with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) hazardous materials safety standards.

Necessary Special Requirements

• Must be willing to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Must be able to read and understand the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products.
• Must be willing to perform strenuous labor for the majority of the assignment.
• Must be willing to work a schedule of four, ten-hour days, Friday through Monday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Must possess and maintain a current State of Colorado Driver's License.
