Summary Description
This position is responsible for expertly providing quality tune‑ups and repairs, building bikes, and giving world‑class customer service which contributes to the success of the team and the entire company.
Essential Functions- Serve as a knowledgeable resource to our customers
- Demonstrate a professional standard of customer service
- Relate to and work with the customer to assess service needs
- Inspect, repair, and service customers' bicycles
- Assist in generating bike and accessory sales while working with the customer
- Complete accurate paperwork
- Prioritize work orders in an efficient manner to expedite service
- Remain current on industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products
- Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
- Work in a safe manner
- Other duties as assigned
- Passion for cycling / bicycles
- Minimum of 1-year bike mechanic experience in a retail store
- Previous experience with various bike components, service tools, and machinery
- Must be able to routinely lift merchandise, packages and other items of at least 50 pounds
- Ability to build all levels of bikes from the box to a safe, ride‑ready bike
- Ability to stand and move in an active, team‑oriented environment for extended periods
- Ability to communicate fluently with co‑workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English
- Basic computer skills

Budgeted range starts at: $25-$28/hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Working Conditions Physical DemandsThe employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
