Description

What You Will Do

* Assist with and perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components

* Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines

* May perform welding such as:
Carbon ARC, Plasma, MIG, TIG, and Stick

* May operate equipment such as: overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks

* Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections

* Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

What You Bring To Freeport

* One (1) year of experience in Heavy Equipment mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance

* Ability to read and use schematics

* Possesses knowledge of machine systems, such as, hydraulic, power train, and engines

* Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

* High School diploma or GED

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $ $26.00 - $33.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
