JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE:
Custodian/Maintenance (12 month)

• Ability to clean and maintain rooms and areas used by staff, students, and the public
• Ability to carry out tasks assigned by a supervisor
• Ability to work independently
• Good example to students and ability to get along with staff, coworkers, and parents to ensure community public relations
• Maintain health and physical status, including hearing and vision
• Must be able to deadlift 60 pounds; team lift 85-100 pounds
• At least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED

REPORTS TO:

Superintendent of Schools, Building Principal and Director of Operations & Transportation.

The custodian is responsible for maintenance, proper cleaning and upkeep as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the safety, health and comfort of all persons who use the school building.

• Maintains and cleans specific rooms daily for health, safety, and comfort
• Assists all staff and students in any way possible to meet their goals
• Courteously assists all community people who use the school building
• Assists in complete cleaning of the building during the summer months
• Enforces school policies and procedures related to use of facilities to protect the community investment
• Assures the security of district property and facilities
• Other related duties and work as assigned
• Ability to adapt to changing work schedules and duties, occasional weekends
• Ability to learn new skills as needed

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the policies of the Estes Park School District R-3.

Estes Park School District R-3 is accepting applications for one full-time, year‑round CUSTODIAL position. Salary range is $18.66 to $21.12 per hour, with single benefits. The successful candidate must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and physical demands/lift test. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a high school diploma or GED.
