Job OverviewAs Operations Technician I, you’ll perform a variety of tasks, including supporting pipeline operations and safely maintaining facility equipment. Accurate record‑keeping and a focus on safety will bring success in this role.
Responsibilities- Perform various tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, inspecting and supervising equipment, and maintaining operation, technical standards and/or governmental requirements.
- Collaborate with others to discover solutions to technical or operational problems.
- Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures.
- Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
- Oversee general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance.
- Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required:
High School Diploma or GED. - Preferred:
Associate’s or two‑year technical degree; minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associate’s degree.
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces.
- Carry or lift items up to 50lbs and team lift loads of more than 50lbs as needed.
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time.
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE.
- Use hand tools.
- Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises.
- May be required to work overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
- Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills and basic knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Minimum: $28, Midpoint: $37, Maximum: $45.
