The Gunnison County Public Works Department is looking for a seasonal employee. Duties will include flagging for various road projects, cleaning out culverts, fencing, tree and brush removal, sign installation, servicing and cleaning pickup trucks and equipment when needed, assisting the recycling center and landfill, trail work, and much more. The schedule will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday (4 – 10’s), with possible overtime Monday through Friday.
½ hour lunch and two breaks per day – the employee is responsible for providing their own lunch and drinks each day. Employees may be unable to leave site for lunch.
This position is currently supported by grant funding, which allows us to advance the county's strategic initiatives. Employment beyond the current grant period is dependent on funding availability.
Pay RateStarting hourly range is from $21.73 to $25.73 depending on experience, plus partial benefits.
This is a part-time position, scheduled for 15 hours a week.
- The County pays monthly on the last weekday of the month.
