Primary
Job Purpose:
- As part of the environmental services team, you will be counted on to provide high-standard cleaning and disinfecting throughout our home for the neighbors and their families, along with the team members we work with. We take pride in having a home that is free of obnoxious smells and that is well-maintained.
Essential Job Functions:
- Disinfects and cleans neighbor rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, dining rooms, offices, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
- Empties wastebaskets, trash containers, and transports other trash and waste to appropriate disposal areas.
- Sweep, scrub, and/or mops floors, using brooms, mops, and other required equipment.
- Replaces light bulbs throughout the home and/or reports safety hazards to supervisor.
- Maintains equipment; reports needs for painting and minor building or equipment repair by making a Work Order.
- Dusts furniture, blinds, fixtures, and other equipment in an orderly fashion.
- Moves and arranges furniture.
- Clean carpets, floors, and furniture
- Keeps storage areas and housekeeping carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Replenishes paper products, exam gloves, and soap.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 250 pounds regularly using a wheelchair/cart. Must be able to lift 0-50 pounds regularly by self and 50+ pounds occasionally with assistance.
- In addition to the responsibilities described above, the role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon Eben Ezer needs or requirements.

Education and Experience:
No education or experience required, but experience is preferred. On the job training will be provided.

:
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Must demonstrate the willingness and ability to learn and perform all duties required by the Laundry and Housekeeping Departments.
- Performs repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work and converse in a polite manner with neighbors, their families, team members, and others associated with the position on a daily basis.
- Assure neighbors rights, privacy, and HIPAA regulations are followed.
- Must use proper universal cautions.
- Ability to work efficiently without constant supervision.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions presented in English.
Material and Equipment used but not limited to:
- Position requires the use of industrial size carpet shampooer, regular shampooer, tile buffer, and an industrial sweeper.
- General housekeeping supplies related to, but not limited to; cleaning chemicals, water, mopping equipment, sweeping equipment, vacuums, cleaning cart, trash cart, dusting supplies, and other equipment to fulfill the essential duties of this position.
Working Environment/Physical
Activities:
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The team member is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The team member is occasionally required to sit.
- The team member must frequently lift, move, and/or push up to 50 lbs. by self and occasionally lift/move, and/or push 50+ pounds with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The team member is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and Blood Borne Pathogens.
- The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and electrical equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Working Hours:
Hours may vary according to staffing and department needs. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
