Job Title: General Maintenance Engineer

Salary: $27/hr – $33/hr

Monarch Casino Resort in Black Hawk is a 23‑story resort with over 500 rooms, 4 restaurants, and one of the country’s top spas. The Monarch Casino Resort Spa is looking for a passionate Facilities Engineer to join our team! You will thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment that exceeds the expectations of our guests and Team Members.

• Checks all electrical, lighting, and temperature control systems to ensure they are functioning properly at all times
• Performs maintenance duties throughout the casino
• Fixes machinery throughout the casino
• Ensures the property is kept in the best condition possible
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment
• Paints the property
• Operates lifts safely to perform job duties
• Helps maintain the exterior of the property
• Reports any failures in all casino lighting fixtures, electrical systems, or temperature control units
• Completes other projects and duties as assigned
• Is able to lift heavy items
• Can bend, kneel, stoop, stand and walk for the duration of the shift
• Can work from a ladder
• Handles work at heights
• Is mobile in all casino areas and can tolerate varying noise levels, temperatures, illumination, and air quality

• General knowledge of repairs on wood furniture, carpet, drywall, paint, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain OSHA safety certifications
• Proficiency in operating power and hand tools
• Can work from schematics, blueprints, sketches, or verbal directions
