Location: Telluride

Job Title

Scans lift tickets and passes of guest at designated ski lifts by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Examine ticket or pass to verify authenticity and scan RFID pass to verify validity.
  • Assist Security department with the protection of the ski company's assets by scanning all products and alerting Security personnel when appropriate.
  • Understand all pass/ticket products and error messages on scan guns. Coordinate with pass office to fix invalid products in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prevent fraud by always confirming picture on pass is the correct person.
  • Familiar with daily snow and grooming report.
  • Greet each guest entering the maze area. Be able to help with directions and other on-mountain questions.
  • Provide proper communication with both lift operations and ski patrol dispatch.
  • Maintain, as well as assist with the maze area set-up and tear down.
  • Provide a high level of guest service and guest interaction.
  • Support TSG's vision, mission, and goals.
  • Adhere to all TSG policies and procedures listed in the employee handbook.
  • Understand and apply the Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or

Experience:

High school education or GED.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical

Skills:

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer

Skills:

Able to use ticket and pass scanning instrument.

Other

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Must be able to function effectively at elevations of 10,000 feet or higher.
  • Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.
